Add this speed test to your site

One snippet puts a working internet speed test on any page — the same test as here, measuring download, upload and latency in about twenty seconds. Free, no account, no advertising, and nothing to install on your server.

The snippet

Paste this into any page, in a custom HTML or embed block. Keep the credit line with it — it is the link back to PC911, and it is what makes the widget worth having.

Speed test widget + credit link

<div style="max-width:640px;margin:0 auto">
  <iframe
    src="https://pcnineoneone.com/embed-speed-test"
    title="Free internet speed test by PC911"
    width="100%"
    height="620"
    style="border:0;width:100%;height:620px"
    loading="lazy"
    referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade"></iframe>
  <p style="margin:8px 0 0;text-align:center;font:12px/1.5 system-ui,sans-serif">

    </a>
  </p>
</div>

Adjusting the frame

  • height="620" — the frame’s height in pixels. The test needs about 600px to show the dial, the button and all three results without scrolling.
  • width="100%" — leaves the widget fluid, so it fits a sidebar or a full-width article column.
  • loading="lazy" — keeps the frame from loading until a visitor scrolls near it. Leave this in.

Why sites embed it

The credit link is the point

The line under the frame is a plain HTML link to the speed test page — no JavaScript, nothing hidden. Search engines follow it like any other editorial link, so every site that embeds the widget points back at your page with the words "internet speed test" in the link text.

Nothing to host or update

The test runs inside the frame, so the measurement always uses the current version. Site owners paste the snippet once and never touch it again, and their visitors see the same test as visitors to PC911.

Works anywhere HTML does

WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Ghost, plain hand-written pages — a custom HTML block is enough. The frame is responsive and loads lazily, so it does not slow the page it sits on.

Prefer just a link?

If a frame is too much for the page — a pinned sidebar, a link round-up, a forum signature — this button sends visitors to the test instead.

A run uses roughly 65 MB of data, since measuring throughput means actually transferring it. Worth knowing before pointing a metered mobile audience at the widget.
